The international from Denmark performed admirably throughout the second half of the previous season while playing for Brentford in the Premier League.

Along with Tottenham and United, Brentford also made him an offer for new terms, but he decided to pay more attention to Old Trafford than the rest.

Christian Eriksen, who represented Spurs from 2013 until 2020, is regarded as one of the team’s all-time greatest midfielders.

His decision to join United has angered others, and one fan desecrated his former “Eriksen 23” shirt before sharing the footage online.

The 30-year-old, who has spent his whole Premier League career in London, was first hesitant about moving there.

Eriksen underwent an implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) installation after experiencing a heart episode during a Euro 2020 group match with Finland last summer.

He was forced to leave Inter Milan since he was unable to play for them due to Serie A rules.

Eriksen was convinced to return to England by fellow Dane and Brentford manager Thomas Frank. With one goal and four assists in 11 appearances, Eriksen helped his team escape the relegation zone.

The Bees made it obvious that they wanted to keep him and were prepared to abandon their pay system in order to do so.

According to The Telegraph, Eriksen wanted a £10 million signing bonus in addition to £200,000 a week. He will sign a three-year contract, though it is presently unknown if those were the conditions United accepted.

Last year, United finished sixth in the league but was unable to make the Champions League.

Since taking over in full in May, Erik ten Hag has been hard at work molding his team.

A deal for Feyenoord full-back Tyrell Malacia is also reportedly close, in addition to Eriksen. After reaching a personal agreement, Malacia was prepared to sign with Lyon, but the Red Devils stepped in at the last minute.

Frenkie de Jong transfer talks with Barcelona are still ongoing, and Lisandro Martinez, an Ajax defender, is admired.

Martinez, who worked with ten Hag at Ajax, has let the Dutch behemoths know he wants to leave this summer.

Arsenal have expressed interest, so the Argentine international will need to make a significant choice.
