Christian Eriksen made his first appearance since experiencing cardiac arrest in a closed-doors friendly against a Southend United XI on Monday.
Eriksen, an ex-Spurs midfielder, scored a goal in Brentford’s 3-2 victory.
After being released by Inter Milan, the Denmark international signed with Brentford last month.
Eriksen told BBC Sport last week that being able to resume his career after falling while playing at Euro 2020 last summer felt like a miracle.
Eriksen is working on his match fitness, and Brentford boss Thomas Frank sees the match against Southend as an important step in that process.
He last appeared in a competitive match for Denmark on June 12, 2021, during Euro 2020, when he fell on the field and required CPR before being rushed to the hospital.
An implantable cardioverter defibrillator was then implanted in the Dane (ICD).
Eriksen’s Inter contract was mutually terminated in December since players wearing an ICD are unable to compete in Serie A.
The Premier League, on the other hand, does not follow the same rules.

Christian Eriksen died abruptly on June 12, 2021, at Parken Stadium, after suffering heart arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener versus Finland.
“It was a heart arrest,” said Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen, who was among a team of medical specialists that attended to Eriksen on the pitch. We performed cardiac resuscitation while he was gone.
“Did we come close to losing him?” I’m not sure. We were able to resuscitate him after one defibrillation. “Wow, that was quick.”
Eriksen stumbled and fell to the ground in the 42nd minute of the game versus Finland, with no other players in the vicinity, causing instant worry.
A number of players from Denmark and Finland, as well as referee Anthony Taylor, recognized the seriousness of the situation and requested medical aid.
As physicians performed CPR and attempted to resuscitate him with a defibrillator, the Danish players created a shield around their injured teammate.

“I am excited to work with Christian again,” said Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who coached Eriksen when he was a teenager with the Danish youth national team. “We’ve seized a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring a World-Class player to Brentford.”
“At his best, Christian is capable of dictating football games. He has the ability to make the right passes and is a goal threat. He can also deliver excellent set pieces, both from corners and straight free kicks. He’s a player who can be found with the ball, and he’ll figure out how to solve the challenge in front of him. Christian will also add top-level football experience to the Club. I expect him to make an impression in the locker room and on the practice field.”
Frank stated that while Eriksen is fit as a result of his individual training in recent months, he still has to be worked up to match fitness, and he did not provide a timetable for his Brentford debut.
