Chelsea are looking forward to getting former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann after sacking Graham Potter.

Chelsea sacked Graham Potter on April 2, 2023, after Todd Boehly lost faith in the manager. The club has already appointed an interim manager, Bruno Saltor.

Chelsea’s owners have been considering Potter’s future after a 2-2 draw against Everton saw them stay in 10th place. However, the final decision was made after Chelsea lost to Aston Villa in the Premier League and got demoted below the mid-table.

The manager thought he was going to be in charge of Chelsea against Liverpool on April 4, 2023, but he got sacked around 8:00 p.m.

It has been reported that Chelsea are working behind the scenes to bring former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann to Stamford Bridge.

Initial contact has already taken place with Nagelsmann’s representatives.

Chelsea may find it difficult to convince the young manager to join the club just 10 days after he was sacked by Bayern Munich.

Nagelsmann may not be in any rush to go back to his coaching career, even though he is viewed as the strongest candidate ahead of other managers available for the Chelsea job.

Former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino is also a contender for the Chelsea job. Pochettino has been without a job since he was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain last season.

It may be difficult for Pochettino to accept Chelsea’s job due to his relationship with another London side, Tottenham. There are high chances of the Argentine returning to Tottenham to replace Antonio Conte.
