Malang Sarr has fueled rumors of being in a squabble with Argentine tactician Mauricio Pochettino.
Sarr liked Chelsea’s post on Instagram, revealing the departure of Pochettino on May 21, 2024.
Malang Sarr is the Blues’ ninth-highest earner and has made just 21 appearances for the club since he was signed in 2020 on a free transfer.
Sarr did not feature throughout Mauricio Pochettino’s time at Chelsea, and many indicate that the pair are not on good terms.
Pochettino’s exit from Stamford Bridge elicited shocking reactions, given how the Blues ended the 2023/24 season.
Chelsea ended the campaign on a strong note, going on a five-game winning run, which ascended them up to 6th on the Premier League table.

During a presser in August 2023, Pochettino appeared to forget who the defender was, and he gave a brutal response to a question posed by a journalist.
Questioned about Malang Sarr’s whereabouts, he responded: “Who?”
In another presser, a journalist had enquired about the Frenchman and also wanted an insight into the whereabouts of goalkeeper Jamie Cumming, who played just once in pre-season, a confused-looking Pochettino replied: “Oh my. Malang Sarr and then Jamie, yeah.”
“I don’t know what I can tell you. I don’t know because you surprised me. It’s like you’ve punched me and I am like this.” Mauricio Pochettino made these comments as he imitated getting punched in the face and looking shocked.
He added: “We were talking about Luton! After I will explain, I wasn’t prepared for this.”

Malang Sarr, 25, last played for Chelsea on the final day of the 2021/22 season during the dispensation of Thomas Tuchel.
Sarr was subsequently loaned to AS Monaco for the 2022/23 season, and he made a cumulative 17 appearances for the French side before he sustained an injury.
Monaco had the option to sign the defender permanently, however, they did not trigger it.
Malang Sarr is still under contract at Chelsea, with his current deal due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Sarr has gone on loan to FC Porto and AS Monaco as earlier indicated, but he is yet to become a key player in the Chelsea set-up.
The exit of Thiago Silva could offer him an opportunity to compete for a starting shirt, given the shaky state of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile, with Wesley Fofana also prone to injuries.
