Chelsea have completed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto. The West London team paid €60 million to bring the injury-prone midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Neto is set to undergo a medical before he will be confirmed as Enzo Maresca’s latest signing ahead of the new Premier League season.

In previous seasons, Chelsea had two of their bids rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, Chelsea were persistent in bringing the player to Stamford Bridge.

The signing of Pedro Neto has taken Chelsea spending to £200 million in the current transfer window. They are set to finalize a deal with Atletico Madrid over the signing of Samu Omorodion.

The 24-year-old Portuguese star battled with long-term injuries last season. Even though the injuries prevented him from being consistent, Neto was regarded as the best Wolves player.

Neto’s beautiful performance last season earned him a call-up to the Portugal national team for Euro 2024 in Germany.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Gary O’Neil has been keen on holding on to his best players ahead of the Premier League opener against Arsenal on August 17, 2024. But that has proven to be very difficult.

The player departure from Wolves will pave way for more transfer targets as they are looking forward to staying in the Premier League for another season.

Pedro Neto Stats

The Portuguese star made 156 appearances, scoring 17 goals and creating 25 assists in all club competitions. He has received 22 yellow cards and zero cards so far in his career.
