Chelsea is reportedly trying to use Christian Pulisic or Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Blues are expected to land a striker in the next transfer window and Osimhen has been tipped as one of the top targets by the club.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli President, has reiterated that the Nigerian international is not for sale despite several offers.

However, reports have it that the Serie A giants will bow to pressures when they receive an offer worth £130 million.

Chelsea could attempt to negotiate a player-plus-cash deal for Osimhen with Pulisic or Lukaku moving to Napoli.

Napoli and Juventus have recently expressed interest in signing Christian Pulisic and Chelsea could use that to their advantage.

Christian Pulisic, 24, is one of the several players that would be offloaded in the summer before his contract run out.

The USA international has endured a poor season with the blues and will seek for new transfer deal to get more playing time.

Pulisic has only played in eight league starts for the Blues this season and scored one goal across all competitions.

Serie A champions Napoli have insisted that Victor Osimhen is not for sale, however, the general consensus, at least between Chelsea and Manchester united, is that he can be bought for around £130million.

The proposed transfer amount is enormous for Bayern Munich, who are keen on signing Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The transfer fee could pose as a problem for Chelsea who are under scrutiny of Financial Fair play.

The Blues will look to swap one of the two – Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku – to get a chance to land Victor Osimhen.

Daily Mail confirms that Chelsea will try to use Lukaku as they weigh up players to try to tempt Napoli into selling Osimhen.

Pulisic – who Napoli have shown interest in – is also among the player to be used to try and sign Napoli talisman Osimhen.

Just like Lukaku, Pulisic has performed below par for Chelsea and the club won’t be blamed if they offload him in the summer.

Victor Osimhen would be a significant upgrade in Chelsea’s attack, as he has scored an impressive 23 goals in 28 league matches to fire his side to a first title in 33 years.

Manchester United on the other hand are in a stronger position to win the race for Osimhen.

Osimhen is going to be a man in demand this summer. Reports recently named the player as a target for Manchester Utd.

The Nigerian striker will undoubtedly be a great fit for the Red Devils’ needs right now, and Bayern aren’t looking like they will continue in the race.

Bayern Munich are reportedly not willing to pay more than €100 million for a new striker despite Napoli saying they want €150 million.

Landing Osimhen may be too expensive for United as well, but only time will show how far the Red Devils can go for the Nigerian.
