FIFA lifts the two transfer window ban restricting the Blues from signing players. So, Chelsea is available to sign players in the January transfer window.
But, FIFA found Chelsea guilty of breaching article 19 of its rules on the status and transfer of players. This rule is to protect minors which means children under the age of 18.
Following FIFA canceling the February appeal to lift the ban. The London club then, took the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to appeal again.
CAS reduces the ban to half after reviewing evidence from the Premier League club and world football’s governing body.
