Chelsea have inquired about Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, but the two clubs are said to be at odds about the 27-year-old’s value.

Tottenham, managed by Antonio Conte, is also interested in signing the Slovakia international, and both teams are expected to have significant transfer funds available in the coming window.

Skriniar has played 215 games for Inter since joining the club in 2017.

Under Conte’s reign at Inter Milan, he was a significant member of the side that won Serie A in 2021.

Inter could be short on quality defenders, with Alessandro Bastoni linked with a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has been promised that he will be supported this summer, while Jules Kounde of Sevilla remains a priority.

While midfielder Saul Niguez has returned to Atletico Madrid after a season-long loan spell at Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old has established himself as a regular at Sevilla and made his international debut for France last year.

According to rumors, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has promised Jules Kounde and his representatives that if he joins the Blues next season, he will be a “vital player” in his team.

Last summer, the Frenchman was on the verge of joining Chelsea, but Sevilla were displeased with Chelsea’s offer, so he opted to stay.

The 23-year-old is already ‘convinced’ that he will be a Blues player by the end of the summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already left the club this summer, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso perhaps following suit.

After completing a £4.25 billion takeover, Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly is expected to give Tuchel a £200 million transfer budget to bolster his squad.

Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele and Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt have also been linked with the Blues.

But these are just speculations as Dembele’s transfer talk was mere rumor.
