Eden Hazard could be set for a shocking return to Chelsea from Real Madrid, according to Spanish media sources.

According to rumors in Spain, Real Madrid is presently contemplating a surprise loan deal that would see Eden Hazard make a shock return to Chelsea.
Since his £83 million move from Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2019, the 31-year-old Belgian has failed to live up to expectations at the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring only four goals in La Liga.
Hazard’s decline has obviously been aided by injuries, and the winger has struggled to maintain his health throughout his time in Madrid.
Even when he is on the field, however, the forward’s abilities appear to be waning.
Hazard has failed to score in 17 La Liga appearances this season, the majority of which have come from the bench.
That’s in stark contrast to his brilliant form during his final three Premier League seasons with Chelsea, when he scored 44 goals in three seasons.

According to Spanish writer Ramon Alvarez, Real Madrid is now in talks with Chelsea about a possible loan deal for the player.
Although Los Blancos will not be able to sell Hazard until the summer, they appear eager to secure a trade now.
Hazard is expected to return to Real Madrid in 2023 as part of a one-year loan deal with no option for a permanent transfer.
Hazard, who earns roughly £380,000 each week, is the club’s second-biggest earner behind Gareth Bale.
Hazard’s contract also runs until 2024, which is a major stumbling block for Real Madrid, who are apparently looking to utilize some of Hazard’s salaries to make a big push for Erling Haaland this summer.
Hazard has only missed two La Liga games due to injury this season, according to Spanish media, and he has recently expressed his dissatisfaction with Carlo Ancelotti about his playing time.

Hazard has struggled to score goals and assist when in the side, so it’s evident that the Italian doesn’t trust him.
A return to Chelsea has long been speculated about, but it appears to be more fiction than reality.
Prior to last season’s Champions League semi-final match with Real Madrid, Blues manager Thomas Tuchel made it obvious that he was a major admirer of Hazard.
Tuchel stated last season, “He is a top-quality player and has been a significant player for many years at this club and in this league, which is the toughest in the world.”
“You’re so consistent.” I hold him in the highest regard. He’s a huge player, and there are a lot of people here that are familiar with him. He was a crucial player for our team, and now he is a Real Madrid player.”
Hazard talked frankly about his future a month later, in May 2021, reinforcing his commitment to Real Madrid.

“I have a three-year deal with Real Madrid, so returning to England is not an option,” he explained.
Everyone knows how bad my first two years were, so I want to make a positive first impression at Real Madrid. I’ll do everything I can to make that happen.
“Given my contract status, I don’t see me leaving Madrid.”
“I know who I am and when I’m in shape.” If that’s the case, I’m confident that I’ll be able to give it my all for Real next season. That is my strategy.”
