The first installment of matches in Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League was filled with several astonishing encounters that delivered in massive density.

Galatasaray 1 – 3 Bayern Munich

We begin in Turkey, and at the Rams Global Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, where the Bavarians came out victorious after 90 minutes and regulation time.

Kingsley Coman took them ahead in the 8th minute, before Mauro Icardi brought the home side back on level terms via a penalty.

The encounter appeared like it was going to end at level pegging, however, Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala had other ideas, as they scored in the 73rd and 79th minutes.

Inter Milan 2-1 Red Bull Salzburg

In the other 5:45 PM (BST) kick off time fixture, the Nerazzurri snatched a slim win over Salzburg at the Guisseppe Meazza.

Alexis Sanchez netted the opener for Inter Milan in the 19th minute, before Oscar Gloukh equalized for RB Salzburg in the 57th minute.

7 minutes later, Hakan Calhanoglu also converted from 12 yards, smashing his shot into the bottom corner and sending Alexander Schlager the opposite direction.

UEFA Champions League Matchday 3: SC Braga 1 – 2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid secured the needed victory in Braga

Carlo Ancelotti’s side traveled to the revered Estádio Municipal in Braga to clash with SC Braga.

They secured a scrappy win, courtesy of goals from Rodrygo Goes and Jude Bellingham, with Alvaro Djalo scoring the consolation for the home side.

Sevilla 1 – 2 Arsenal

A game involving two sides with contrasting pedigree in Europe, as Sevilla are historically the bigger side in European competitions.

However, English giants Arsenal, secured a much needed victory to return to winning ways, through goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

Nemanja Gudelj scored the consolation for Sevilla, with a well placed header in the 58th minute.

Union Berlin 0 – 1 Napoli

Despite the unavailability of Victor Osimhen, the Neapolitans have secured two victories in a row across all competitions.

They traveled to Germany to face Union Berlin and replacement for the Nigerian in Giacomo Raspadori stood up to be counted in the 65th minute, curling his effort into the goalpost.

Manchester United 1 – 0 FC Copenhagen

In a shaky evening for Manchester United at Old Trafford, the Red Devils crept to a much needed win over Copenhagen.

Erik Ten Hag’s side were watery on the night but two players, who have been heavily vilified in recent months saved the day for the English giants.

Harry Maguire scored a brilliant header in the 72nd minute, and in the 7th minute of additional time in the second half, Andre Onana pulled out a massive save to deny Copenhagen’s Jordan Larsson from scoring a penalty.

The victory signified that Manchester United have finally picked up their first victory in the UEFA Champions League this season, and their 3rd victory on the bounce across all competitions.

Despite a below par performance from the Red Devils, they will be contented with picking up the 3 points.

SL Benfica 0 – 1 Real Sociedad

Imanol Alguacil’s side did enough to grab a snatch a slim victory over the home side, who have picked no point from their opening 3 Champions League matches this campaign.

Brais Mendez’s only goal in the 63rd minute, was enough to decide the affair in Portugal.

RC Lens 1 – 1 PSV Eindhoven

PSV Eindhoven went in front in the 54th minute through Johan Bakayoko and it appeared like they had got the decisive goal of the encounter.

However, Elye Wahi scored 11 minutes later to take his tally this campaign to 2 goals from 3 UEFA Champions League matches.
