Cesc Fabregas Signs Four Years Deal As The Head Coach of Newly Promoted Serie A Side, Como

Former Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has signed a four-year deal to become the permanent manager of newly promoted Serie A side Como. 

The appointment was confirmed by Como spokesman Mirwan Suwarso, who said, “It’s an honour for us to officially appoint Cesc as head coach. The impact of his knowledge, experience, and passion is already evident in the success of last season and the evolution of our playing style.”

“We believe that this is just the start, though, and we look forward to continuing working with Cesc this season and for many years to come.”

After the spokesman’s comment, the former Spain midfielder, Fabregas, reacted to the statement, saying, “I am so happy to be starting this season as head coach, and I thank the ownership group for trusting me with this position. I share the ambitions of the group and believe this is just the start of where this club can go.”

Fabregas, who was the interim manager of the football club in the 2023–24 season, helped the Como team finish in second place in the Serie B, which gave them automatic promotion to the Serie A.

Como finished three points behind Serie B champion Parma.

Fabregas had an excellent football career with well-recognised clubs like Chelsea, Barcelona, Arsenal, and Monaco before joining Como in his final playing days.
