Celtic could be sanctioned by UEFA after their fans flown Palestinian flags in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.
The Scottish giants had implored supporters ahead of the game to ”support the club” and refrain from provocative gestures” linked to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.’

Defying the club’s pleas, Celtic fans again flown and hoisted Palestinian flags live in the match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The fans waved the flags in support of Palestine who have recently been under constant bombing by Israeli reprisal airstrikes.
It is believed UEFA who have maintained a strong stance against Pro-Palestinian protests and Hamas-led offensives will clampdown on Celtic for the provocative behavior of the fans during the matchm
The match ended with both sharing spoils after settling for a 2-2 draw.
