Casemiro Suffers Knee Injury During October International Break

Casemiro suffered a horrible ankle injury in the international break against Venezuela on October 13, 2023.

The latest injury setback news was confirmed by Brazil manager Fernando Diniz.

The manager spoke to the press after the game, confirming he suffered a blow to the ankle, which stopped him from continuing the match.

The manager said, “We had a lot of control when they came on. Casemiro asked to come off due to a blow to his ankle”.

The Manchester United star was taken off as one of the three changes made by the manager in the 79^th minute of the match when Brazil were at the top.

Brazil’s next match will be a World Cup qualifier game against Uruguay on October 18, 2023.

The extent of Casemiro’s injury will be revealed by the medical staff when Diniz holds another press conference before the match against Uruguay.

It is going to be a sad story for Erik Ten Hag, who has been managing the club this season with 16 injured players.

Casemiro is one of the few first-team players that has yet to miss a single game due to injury this season, starting 11 matches in the process.

Ten Hag had been depending on the 31-year-old midfielder despite a lot of people calling him a fatty leg for his inability to track back in a football game, which had made Manchester United concede more goals this season.

Meanwhile, due to the incessant injuries at Old Trafford, the club are looking at launching an investigation into the injury crisis at the club.

The club have acknowledged the fact that Erik Ten Hag and his men played more than 60 matches last season.

Erik Ten Hag has been unable to use the same back four since the second game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Luke Shaw has been out since August 2023, and he is unlikely to return before November 2023.

Lisandro Martinez suffered a foot injury, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also out for a sustained period. Raphael Varane has picked up some injuries so far this season.

In addition, Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia are yet to play for Manchester United this season.

Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are the two senior center backs that are fit for matches.

Manchester United are expecting some senior players back at the Carrington training ground for the next Premier League game as United will travel to one of the weakest teams in the Premier League, Sheffield United, when the league returns on October 21, 2023.

The club currently sits in 10^th place on the Premier League table with 12 points from eight matches.
