Jurgen Klopp is indisputably a great tactician with a seemingly magical control of the game. He took Liverpool from a struggling mid-table Premier League team to a title contender and Champions League winner. Liverpool nearly set an unprecedented record in English football when they almost landed a quadruple. Under Jurgen Klopp’s watch, Liverpool won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, finished as runner-up in the Premier title challenge, and made it to the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Pep Guardiola was another sensation with Manchester City. He won the Premier League title for the 5th time since his arrival in England as manager. Out of the five times that he has laid his hands on the trophy, it is only Jurgen Klopp has been able to interrupt his reign with a win in the 2019/2020 football season. Guardiola has won it three consecutive times before winning it in 2021 and successfully defending it in 2022.

Within the season in question, Pep Guardiola successfully defended the Premier League title and guided Manchester City to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
