Since winning the Champions League in May, Real Madrid have been busy in the transfer market. They succeeded in buying Antonio Rudiger for nothing after his Chelsea contract expired and Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco for £72 million.

After missing out on Kylian Mbappe, Ancelotti’s team has been connected with several attackers, but the Italian manager insists there won’t be any more additions.

Ancelotti has also suggested that Eden Hazard, even though he has struggled since joining the club, might be deployed in the forthcoming campaign as a false No. 9.

The 63-year-old was quoted by Marca as saying: “I can’t talk about the signings, but I’m already declaring that everything is over. We won’t be signing anyone. We’re okay the way we are.”

“We have a lot of options for the striker position,” Ancelotti continued. “Benzema is the top player, but we must recognize that this season will be unique and different due to the World Cup in between, and we must consider other choices.

‘My idea is to try to see Eden in that position.

‘Given the quality that Eden has and his qualities, it could be good for us to test him there. It’s a similar case to Asensio.’

Hazard has struggled to maintain a consistent starting position in recent years. In his three years with the team, he has only scored six goals overall, which is the same as his lowest tally in a single season at Chelsea.

However, the Belgian is reportedly more physically fit than he has been in a while and could finally recoup the £103 million the team invested in him in 2019.

Rudiger and Tchouameni, two recent additions, were also lauded by Ancelotti, who said that they “bring enormous talent to the squad.” They are the best on the market in their respective fields.

“Rudiger is a great central defender and Tchouameni is the same, he is very young and has a lot of projection”, the coach added.

“He is already an international with France… we take advantage of this tour so that they adapt to the squad that we have.”

Real Madrid had a fantastic campaign in the previous year, as evidenced by the fact that they won the La Liga championship by a margin of 13 points and then went on to win the Champions League against Liverpool.

On August 10, they will face Europa League champion Eintracht Frankfurt in the Super Cup, followed by a trip to Almeria to begin their league title defense.
