Recall we reported that Carlo Ancelotti is set to take charge of Brazil next summer according to Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues.

Brazil were confident of landing the signature of the veteran Italian coach and he is likely to be in place for the Copa America in June 2024.

However, the veteran Italian coach has spoken in an interview and talked down on speculations linking him to the Brazil job.

Speaking to Radio1, he said: “Agreement with Brazil? It’s all about rumors, links… I feel very good at Real Madrid as things stand”.

Carlo Ancelotti also went on to add: “We started our season in excellent way and we hope to keep going at same level.”

Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues in July stated that Fernando Diniz will manage the Selecao until Carlo Ancelotti is ready.

Ednaldo Rodrigues stated: “He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Carlo Ancelotti.”

“His game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti.”

“We don’t call him an interim coach of the national team.”

However, the Italian manager, who currently heads Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid, has rubbished the reports calling it rumor.

Even though the five-time World Cup Champions have been without a permanent manager since Tite resigned, Carlo Ancelotti seems not interested in heading the South American team.

How Good Is Ancelotti?

Don Carlo, just like he’s always called, has demonstrated an outstanding capacity for adaptation wherever he has gone.

He primarily utilized a 4-3-3 at PSG, a 4-2-3-1 that evolved into a 4-4-2 at Real, and a 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield while at Milan.

Then, at Napoli, Ancelotti reorganized a talented squad that had previously played in a fluid, possession-based 4-3-3 under Maurizio Sarri into an offensive 4-4-2. At Everton, he subsequently employed a similar system, from which a back three was developed.

Since his return to Real, Ancelotti has favored an in-possession 4-3-3 in an effort to maximize the dribbling skills of the wide forwards.
