Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly agreed to become Brazil’s head coach at the end of the season.

In conflicting reports, the 63-year-old Los Blancos manager was said to be the potential replacement of former Brazil coach Tite following his departure after Brazil was knocked out of the Qatar World Cup tournament on penalties by Croatia in the quarter-final.

According to ESPN report, neither Brazil nor Ancelotti will officially announce the transmission “as the coach still has a contract with the Spanish club until June 2024”.

And the report also revealed that the coach has not penned his deal for the American side.

However, the report has it that he will sign a three-year contract in the summer starting in July which will run until after the next FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada which will be held in the summer of 2026.

It is also claimed that the Real Madrid boss has allegedly informed some of the Brazilian members of his squad; Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo, that he will become their new head coach.

The Brazilians in Real Madrid are said to be disappointed by his impending departure from Santiago Bernabeu but are looking forward to him coaching Brazil as they “believe it is a good name to lead the five-time world champions”.

However, according to The Athletic report which debunks the controversial news, Ancelotti has “not heard anything” from the Brazil FA about coaching the national team.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s entourage has also denied claims that the 63-year-old Italian manager allegedly told his players he will quit Real Madrid in the summer to become the new Brazil’s coach.

But if the news ultimately comes real, the club should act fast in replacing Ancelotti as the reigning European champions are already enduring a tough season after their last season’s triumph.

Real Madrid are second in La Liga, with eight points behind fierce rivals Barcelona.

Ancelotti’s men also lost to Xavi’s side in the Supercopa de Espana final as the Catalans humbled the current Champions League winners with a 3-1 defeat in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, there’s a report that Real’s president Florentino Perez, is considering replacing Ancelotti with former boss Zinedine Zidane.

In this sense, Madrid should be potentially confident to contend for titles next season after Ancelotti departs for the Brazil job, which is currently vacant following Tite’s exit two months ago.

The Italian coach’s only previous experience on the international level as a manager arrived when he was employed as assistant manager of Italy in the early 1990s.

Afterward, the Italian coach, Ancelotti has gone on to take charge of some of the European top clubs after starting at Reggiana and Parma.

The 63-year-old Italian has successfully managed Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton, as well as Milan, Chelsea, and his current team, Real Madrid.

With the level of his experience and flourishing record as a football manager, Carlo Ancelotti, if eventually announced as the new Brazilian coach, many believe he will do a great job.
