    Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is not leaving Real Madrid as the Los Blancos has informed him that he will remain at the club beyond this season.

    The former Everton manager has been linked with Brazil national team job but revealed that he wanted to see out his current deal with the Spanish club.

    Ancelotti in an interview said: “Everyone knows really well what my situation is: I have a contract until the end of the 2024 season and I want to stay.”

    The Italian manager responded with a “Yes” when asked if Real Madrid assured him of staying at the club beyond this season.

    Carlo Ancelotti was Real Madrid’s coach between 2013 and 2015 and departed after a year he won the Champions League with the club.

    Don Carlo as he is fondly called returned to Madrid for a second stint after leaving Premier League side Everton in June 2021.

    The veteran coach led Real Madrid to their record 14 Champions League and won the Spanish La Liga last season, but has failed to do same in this current campaign.

    Manchester City thrashed them 5-1 on aggregate to reach Champions League final and they have lost the Spanish League to Barcelona who were already crowned La Liga champions with 4 games to play.

    Carlo Ancelotti who spoke in a prematch conference ahead of Valencia game said: “It could have been a better season, but it was a good one.”

    “Of course, we are not satisfied with La Liga, but we fought to the end in the other competitions, and won three of them,” he concluded.

    Don Carlo as he is fondly called is amongst the greatest managers of all time, and he is the most decorated manager in UEFA Champions League history, having won the trophy a record four times as coach (twice with AC Milan and twice with Real Madrid).

    Ancelotti is also the first and only one to have coached teams in five Champions League finals.

    He holds the record for the first and only manager to have won league titles in all of Europe’s top five leagues.

    The Italian has won the FIFA Club World Cup, a joint-record three times, and is also the manager with the most UEFA Super Cup final wins, having won the trophy on four occasions, managing Milan and Real Madrid.

    Ancelotti became Real Madrid’s manager on 25 June 2013 as the replacement for the departing José Mourinho.

    After signing a three-year contract, he was introduced at a press conference at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where it was also announced that Zinedine Zidane and Paul Clement would be his assistant coaches.

    The Italian won his first major trophy at Real Madrid in April 2014 after his team beat Barcelon 2-1 in the Copa del Rey final.

    In his first stint for Madrid, he won Champions League, Super Cup, Madrid’s first FIFA Club World Cup.

    He was relieved of his duty in May 2015 after Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez announced that the club’s board had taken “a very difficult decision.”

    Carlo Ancelotti resigned from his position at Everton to rejoin Real Madrid on June 1st 2021 following Zidane’s resignation as manager.

    In his second stint at Real Madrid, Ancelotti has delivered two trophies out of possible three, winning La Liga and the Supercopa de España.

    The Italian has also won all six available top trophies at Madrid, in addition to becoming the first manager to win all of Europe’s top five leagues.

    He also helped Real Madrid win their 14th European Cup which was his second Champions League in charge of the Los Blancos.

    Real also claimed their fourth ever European double and at the start of this campaign, Ancelotti guided his club to a UEFA Super Cup victory, his eighth trophy at Madrid.
