Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Parma in his native Italy.
On Wednesday, the 11th of October, the Italian tactician returned to his hometown in Italy not on football matters but for a very special occasion.
According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti has completed his Master’s degree at the University of Parma in Italy.
The 64-year-old former AC Milan legend attended the graduation ceremony in Italy after he completed his Honours in “Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activities”.
Speaking at the event, Carlo Ancelotti said; “Today, the University of Parma conferred me with the title of Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activities and I couldn’t be more excited.”
He added; “Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible, to my family and those who have accompanied me and continue to accompany me in my career”.
During the ceremony, the former Chelsea manager was seen wearing a Red with a touch of White graduation gown with a red cap.
Some notable people who were present at the event were Ariggo Sacchi, Ancelotti’s head coach between 1987 and 1991, and Ariedo Braida, his teammate during his spell at Parma as a player.
The former Bayern Munich manager jokingly said that his Real Madrid players have to call him Doctor from now on during his speech at the event.
He said; “I received this degree and some will say that I have taken few exams. In reality, I have taken many and every three days I take more. Exams in which I am judged, which is why I have to prepare. When they call me doctor I like it, I will say to my players ‘You can call me doctor'”.
“Football helped me improve my relationship with others, and learn respect for the rules, for your opponents and your teammates”.
The 64-year-old Italian man has been recognized as one of the top football coaches in the world who has led several top clubs to victories.
He explained that being a coach means knowing how to listen to others, fellow staff, and players, and then make decisions.
Meanwhile, the rector of the aforementioned university Paolo Andrei appeared to confirm that Carlo Ancelotti will move away from Real Madrid to become the next Brazil national team coach.
The Italian manager has been strongly linked with the Brazil national team job in recent times, with several reports stating that the former Bayern Munich manager will depart the Spanish powerhouse when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 64-year-old Italian tactician said he’s looking forward to guiding Real Madrid to the UEFA Champions League and Spanish La Liga glory this season after losing out on the trophies last season before he calls it quit on the club side as a manager.
