Leicester City will visit the Emirate Stadium to face Arsenal football club for the first time since November 9, 2020, when Gunners could not defeat Leicester as they fell 2-0 to the host.

The reverse fixture is even more important than when Arsenal visited Leicester City last summer. This time around, both side can not afford not to win the match but Leicester City need the win more than ever.

Why Leicester City Need to Win Arsenal

Arsenal football club is still nurturing the hope of making it into the top four despite being on the 7th spot with 49 points. A win tonight would take them to 52 points, 7 points away from their dream 4th spot.

In the other hand, Leicester City is already in the top four and must not blink at this point of the season. A win against Arsenal tonight is not negotiable because if they lose, they will maintain their 58 points which might not be enough for them to remain in the top four.

The event that would keep Leicester in the top four in peace at least for now is if 5th placed Manchester United lose to Aston Villa on Thursday and Chelsea draw or lose to Crystal Palace this evening. If Leicester City lose, Chelsea and United win, Leicester City and United will have the same point, and Leicester will remain on the 4th spot only with goals difference while Chelsea will take over the 3rd spot.
