Camp Nou is now known as Spotify Camp Nou as part of a new relationship between Barcelona and the global music streaming platform.

Camp Nou has been formally renamed as Barcelona FC's collaboration with Spotify gets underway

Barcelona announced the arrangement with Spotify in March of this year, with an estimated value of €280 million. The organization’s name and logo are featured on the front of the club’s freshly released home and away kits for the 2022–2023 season, which will remain there for four more seasons until 2026.

The naming rights portion of the agreement has already begun following the official conclusion of the 2021/22 season on June 30, while Spotify will continue to sponsor the training kit until 2025.

A new façade with Spotify branding has been added to the stadium’s front as part of the Camp Nou renaming. Pedri, Mapi Leon, Ansu Fati, Alexia Putellas, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Aitana Bonmati are among the players who are on both the men’s and women’s teams’ banners displayed at the rebranded stadium.

The naming rights will continue through the ambitious plan to renovate the entire Spotify Camp Nou as part of the Espai Barça project, in which FC Barcelona will transform its facilities and surroundings into a brand new, top-notch entertainment center that will be accessible to the entire city of Barcelona.

Along with the exterior of the stadium, Spotify branding will be present inside on the benches, seats, and at pitch level.

In accordance with the agreement, Spotify will also put its logo on the club’s professional academies’ uniforms as they develop young talent as well as on the senior team’s shirts for the next four seasons.

Along with the Spotify name, players like Pedri, Mapi Leon, Ansu Fati, Alexia Putellas, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Aitana Bonmati are shown in the mural.

This means that the Camp Nou will be rebranded for the first time in the stadium’s 65-year history.

One of the key players in the deal, which took six months to complete before it was first revealed back in March, was Barcelona president Joan Laporta, as Sportsmail previously reported.

Marc Hazan, Spotify’s vice president of freemium partnerships and business development, will be on site to monitor the adjustments made as a result of the sponsorship relationship.

The Camp Nou location will also develop into a center for entertainment for Barcelona, housing resources to support the growth of the city’s podcast and music scenes.

In addition, Spotify will play a significant role in the creation of audiovisual materials related to the team’s practices that will be shared on Barcelona’s social media platforms.

Daniel Ek, co-founder and owner of Spotify, is not barred from purchasing another soccer team in the future under the agreement.

In 2021, Ek made an attempt to acquire Arsenal, but he was unable to persuade Stan Kroenke, the club’s current owner, to sell.

Barcelona will relocate to the city’s Olympic Stadium for the 2023–2024 season to allow their existing home to undergo a £1.3 billion restoration, as it was recently reported.
