Burna Boy Leads Other Celebrities to Pay Tribute to Pele

    Grammy winner and Afrobeat singer Burna Boy has paid tribute to the deceased Pele after he was announced dead by his family.

    Burna Boy took to his Twitter account to post a picture of Pele during his playing days with a beautiful caption stating that he is a man with a strong legacy that will surely be remembered forever.

    Other celebrities also paid tribute to him; the former President of America, Barack Obama, wished the family the best and claimed Pele was the greatest player to ever play football.

    Obama posted a picture he took with Pele. He also described Pele as one of the most recognized athletes in the world.

    Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt shared a tweet in honor of the great Pele.

    President Joe Biden also tweeted about Pele after his death. He posted the picture they took together on the pitch, and Biden also sent condolences to Pele’s family.

    Biden stated that Pele was raised from humble beginnings to become a soccer legend.

    Former American President Bill Clinton took to his Twitter account to also comment on Pele’s death. He told his followers that Pele is not just a football legend but also a humanitarian and global icon.


    Marvin Musician Crayon, who has been buzzing the Africa Music Festival, also paid tribute to the legend with a broken heart emoji.


    Nigerian rapper MI Abaga paid his last respects to Pele with the caption “The Super Hero from Brazil.”

    MI posted his WhatsApp chat with his mother talking about how MI used to scream Pele name whenever they walk pass a big advert showing his name.


    Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti also paid tribute to greatest of all time and also has so much respect for the legend due to his contribution to football.

    The Brazilian great died at the age of 82 as a result of colon cancer that had hospitalized him since four months ago. Pele remains the only player to have ever won the World Cup three times.

    When he represented Brazil in the 1958 World Cup at the age of just 17, Pele broke the record for the youngest player to play in a FIFA World Cup.
