Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah, and Gabriel Martinelli are firing up to keep Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes alive, and beat off the competition from big spenders and defending Champions Manchester City.

Football and money are like siamese twins but is like Arsenal is changing the narrative after harnessing the best of their youngsters to stay put in the title race.

Bukayo Saka

Having previously played for youth teams of Watford, Saka joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy at a very tender age of seven from Watford Academy.

Arsenal

At 17 years, he earned a professional contract and joined the Gunners’ U-23 team.

The Three Lions Star made his debut for Arsenal first team on 29 November 2018 in their UEFA Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava, coming on as a 68th minute substitute for Aaron Ramsey.

He made his full home Premier League debut on 13 December in Arsenal’s Europa League match against Qarabağ.

Saka became the first player born in the 21st century to play in a Premier League match.

Since joining Arsenal’s first team in 2018, he has made 115 appearances, scoring 23 goals.

This season, Saka has started all 18 Premier League games for Arsenal, scoring 6 goals, with 7 assists. He also has one Europa League goal and 2 EFL Cup goals for the club.

Eddie Nketiah

Nketiah joined the Arsenal Academy from Chelsea and played for the club at youth levels. Nketiah was called up by Arsène Wenger for the first team’s pre-season trip to Australia and China.

On 28 September 2017, Nketiah made his first-team appearance for Arsenal in their UEFA Europa League match against BATE Borisov. He came on as an 89th-minute substitute for Joe Willock.

Since joining Arsenal in 2017, Eddie Nketiah has made 75 appearances, and scored 12 goals for the club.

Eddie Nketiah has made 16 appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals. He also has two Europa League goals for the club, and one assist.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli overlooked interest from a number of clubs to sign a long term contract with Premier League club Arsenal on 2 July 2019, for a reported fee of £6 million (R$46.9 million). Arsenal was his second club as a professional footballer after Ituano.

The Brazil international made his Premier League debut on 11 August 2019 in a 1–0 win over Newcastle United, coming on in the 84th minute as a substitute for Henrikh Mkhitaryan

On 3 July, Martinelli signed a new four-year contract, with a team option for an extra year, until 2025. Since joining London club, he had made 75 appearances for the club, scoring 18 goals.

Gabriel Martinelli has started all 18 Premier League matches for Arsenal this season, scoring 7 goals with two assists.
