Brentford vs Tottenham: Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg completed the comeback by getting the ball past Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

Brentford put a lot of pressure on the Tottenham defense, forcing Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster into making wayward passes. Harry Kane had his first shot when his free kick hit the wall.

Harry Kane was denied a clear penalty after the challenge from Ben Mee. The VAR decided to wave play on, which left Antonio Conte furious about the referee’s decision.

Brentford thought they had the second goal after Toney dispossessed Bissouma, but it was rightly ruled out for offside.

A few minutes after halftime, Ivan Toney, who was completely unmarked, scored the second goal for the Bees. Although Toney has been charged with 262 alleged breaches of betting rules, Brentford’s fans celebrated him like their hero.

In the second half, former Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet provided a superb cross to Kane’s path, and the striker headed past Raya to maintain his 100% goal record on Boxing Day.

After the Tottenham goal, two penalties were called to the referee’s attention. The first one came when Matt Doherty went down under Brentford midfielder Zanku, but the referee ignored the call.

The second penalty call came when Bryan Mbeumo went down in the penalty box. The Cameroonian was given a yellow card for the shameful dive.

Rico Henry’s cross reached Mbeumo from 12 yards away, the player missed with a shot, and Kane’s bicycle kick in the other box’s six-yard area was unsuccessful.

A few minutes from the end of the match, Toney missed a glorious chance from Mads Roerslev’s headed ball. The striker got to the ball before the Tottenham goalkeeper could get his hands on it.

In the stoppage time, Heung Min Son’s low shot was saved by Raya, who was in an excellent form in today’s match.

The bad incident that happened before the match started

Before kickoff, the Brentford fans were not happy to see Harry Kane. The crowd sang songs and booed him, claiming he let the country down after missing a penalty in the World Cup quarter finals against France.

However, the striker didn’t allow that to put him down.
