Brentford have signed Brazilian prolific forward Igor Thiago from Club Brugge as Aston Villa also completed a deal for Ross Barkley.
Igor Thiago, 23, reportedly reached an agreement with Brentford for a move back in February 2024. The Bees only awaited to seal the move this summer.
Thiago will step into the shoes of Brentford forward Ivan Toney. Toney is on the last lap of his Brentford contract and has been linked to a transfer exit from the club this summer. Reacting to his move to the Premier League outfit, Thiago said;
“I’m very happy to have signed for Brentford and to get to know the club.”

Aston Villa sign Ross Barkley from Luton Town
In another sealed Premier League transfer deal, Aston Villa have poached Ross Barkley from Luton to Villa Park.
The 30-year-old made 32 Premier League appearances for Luton, who were relegated from the top flight, in 2023-24.
Despite a disappointing campaign with the Hatters, it was an overly brilliant outing for Barkley. He struck 5 times for the club and was crucial to the team throughout the campaign.

Ross Barkley is an English professional footballer who played for Luton Town in the 2023-24 season and is now set for a new chapter with Aston Villa in the Premier League.
In a career that has spanned over a decade, Barkley is regarded as one of the best midfielders in English football. He began his career with Everton in 2010, and made 150 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals.
From Everton, he joined Chelsea in 2018 after loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United. At Chelsea, he made 58 Premier League appearances, scoring 5 goals before being loaned to Aston Villa in 2020.
From his loan spell with Aston Villa, he joined Nice in Ligue 1 and then returned to play for Luton in the English top flight last season. Overall, he has tallied 385 club career appearances with 55 goals.

According to reports, the 30-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Villains. His move from Kenilworth Road to Villa Park could be seen as a big leap in his career.
