Barcelona veteran striker Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Juventus ahead of a move to the Turn-based club.

Suarez, who has been at Barcelona since 2014, is headed to Juventus after newly appointed Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman informed the 33-year-old that he would not be part of his plans.

Koeman replaced Quique Setien as the Barcelona head coach after the club’s humiliating Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich and has been tasked with rebuilding the Catalan side.

The Italian news outlet, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, claims that Suarez’s representatives have been negotiating with Juventus over a move, and an agreement has finally been struck.

They claim the deal would see the 33-year-old earn around €10 million-per-year throughout the course of his contract.

Suarez would be a direct replacement for outgoing striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is reportedly close to signing with MLS side Inter Miami.

Roma striker Edin Dzeko was the Bianconeri’s first-choice option, however, Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that talks for the Bosnian international have stalled.

Di Marzio claims that Juventus could also agree to some performance-related bonuses with Barcelona to help pen the 33-year-old’s signature.

Lionel Messi’s future is also in the balance after the Argentine haded in a transfer request to quit the Camp Nou.

However, it is suggested after the meeting between Messi’s Father, Jorge Messi, and the Barcelona board, that the 33-year-old might remain with the Spanish side.

He told Mediaset that talks with Barcelona went well, and there are chances an agreement can be reached for the 33-year-old.

Suarez would now leave teammate and best friend Lionel Messi, who he has spent the last six years playing alongside, to team up with his Arch-rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the Italian Serie A.

Despite going trophyless, the Uruguay international was instrumental for Barcelona last season. He finished with 21 goals across all competitions while also providing 11 assists.
