Naldo Pereira, Brazilian football star, lost his three years old son to a horror traffic accident on Saturday, 7th September, 2023.
Naldo Pereira, 35, who currently plays for Turkish side Antalyaspor, is mourning the loss of his son together with his partner Tilatti.
The Sun reported that the Brazilian’s son, whose name is David, was injured in a terrible road crash on September 7 in Antalya.
David was rushed to the hospital after a bicycle and two cars collided in a brutal traffic accident.
He subsequently underwent surgery but remained in the ICU unit but he sadly lost his fight to survive after spending a month.
The sad news that Naldo Pereira lost his son was confirmed by Antalyaspor’s official social media accounts; “We won’t forget you, David!” they wrote.
“We received, with deep sadness, the news of the death of the son of our football player Naldo Pereira, Davi, who suffered an accident last month.”
“We express our condolences to our player Naldo and his family, especially to his fans, family and community.”
Several fans shared tribute after the post, with one saying: “May God give him patience and rest in peace. May God not test anyone with the pain of losing a child.”
Another fan also added on the post, saying: “Truly heartbreaking. Sorry for your loss.”
Another mourner who sympathized with Naldo Pereira, said: “Everyone is with you Naldo. So sorry for your loss.”
Naldo Pereira started his career at Brazil. He played for Gremio and Cruzeiro before moving to Granada in 2013.
He also spent time on loan at Bologna in Serie A before he joined Udinese permanently in 2013.
The Brazilian spent one season in the Serie A before he moved to Spain for another loan spell with Spanish side Getafe.
Pereira later joined Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, but failed to impress and later joined Russian side Krasnodar.

Edinaldo Gomes Pereira, known as Naldo, is a Brazilian footballer who was born on 28th August 1988 and plays as a central defender for Turkish club Antalyaspor.
He was born in Santo André, São Paulo. Naldo played for Cascavel CR, CA Linense and Oeste FC before moving to União São João EC for the 2010 season.
Naldo have not had a great club career unlike top Brazilian footballers who have etched their name into the annals of the game in Europe. However, he has kept on with his moderate career trail, playing in elite divisions across top leagues in Europe.
He is also a life-loving husband and father who shared beautiful moments with his family. Hence, the demise of his son, David, is a shocker that may weigh in his mental wellbeing. However, it is hoped he will pull himself together and continue with his career.
