Borussia Dortmund have secured the services of striker Serhou Guirassy from fellow Bundesliga side VFB Stuttgart.
Guirassy arrived in Dortmund on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, and he is apparently set for medical and contract signing today, July 10, 2024.
Serhou Guirassy will pen a four-year deal with Borussia Dortmund, which runs until the summer of 2028.
The Guinea International is expected to join the Signal Iduna Park side for a fee of €18 million, his release clause which has been known to the public for quite some time.

Reports indicate that he had received offers from clubs outside Germany, however, Guirassy opted to remain in the Bundesliga.
Serhou Guirassy was menacing in attack for VFB Stuttgart in the 2023/24 season, scoring 30 goals in 30 appearances.
Guirassy is seen as one of the hottest strikers currently in Europe and Borussia Dortmund view the acquisition of the Guinean as a huge bargain, given his price tag and contributions last season.

The 28-year-old was born on March 12, 1996, in Arles, France and his deal with VFB Stuttgart was expected to last until June 30, 2026.
Guirassy has played for several clubs in his career, including; Stade Lavallois, LOSC Lille, FC Köln, Stade Rennais, and Amiens SC.
Serhou Guirassy was initially loaned to VFB Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 by former club Stade Rennais.
However, following an impressive loan spell in Germany, where he netted 14 goals in 28 appearances for Stuttgart, they opted to sign him permanently for a fee of €9 million on July 1, 2023.

Subsequently, Serhou Guirassy also continued his sublime attacking display, finishing the 2023/24 season as the second top-scorer in the German Bundesliga with 28 goals, 8 goals behind Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane (36).

Guirassy’s market value is €40 million and he is expected to receive an annual salary of €8 million at Borussia Dortmund, alongside a sign-on fee.
Reports indicate that the arrival of Serhou Guirassy will likely lead to the exit of Youssoufa Moukoko and Sebastien Haller.
Borussia Dortmund had a wishy-washy 2023/24 season, ending the Bundesliga campaign in 5th position albeit securing qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
They qualified for the top-tier European competition due to the extra slot that was handed to the Bundesliga based on the performances of clubs in the country at continental tournaments last term.
Anyway, Borussia Dortmund can pat themselves on the back for their display in the UEFA Champions League, as they made it through to the final before losing to Real Madrid 2-0, courtesy of great goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.
