Michael Cuisance says he didn’t fail medical at Leeds United as it was speculated when his proposed deal with the Premier League club collapsed after he has already arrived in the United Kingdom to seal the deal.

Bayern Munich, the parent club of the 21-year-old French central-midfielder had agreed on a deal with Leeds United this summer for the services of the youngster. Unfortunately for Michael Cuisance, he was not able to seal the deal despite his arrival in England hours before the summer transfer window closed in the Premier League on October 5.

The failed deal sparked rumor on social media that Leeds United failed to close the deal with Michael Cuisance because he could not meet some medical criteria which means that he would not be available to play for a while.

Days later, French Ligue 1 side, Marseille unveiled the youngster as their new player who is expected to play for them for the entire 2020-2021 season on loan from Bayern Munich.

During his unveiling on Wednesday, the French midfielder used the opportunity to clarify what transpired between him and Leeds United. He insisted that he had no problem with Leeds United. He also insisted that even if there was a problem, it was not from him.

“At Leeds, there was no problem from my side”, he added.

Also, the head of football at Marseille Pablo Longoria stressed that there was no problem with Michael Cuisance. He insisted that the France Under-20 international was ready to play 100 percent contrary to speculations.

“We did not find any issues with his medical, everything was done properly. He is completely available, at 100 percent”, Marseille head of football said.

The last time Michael Cuisance played a competitive football match was on September 18, 2020, against Schalke 04 for Bayern Munich. He was used for just 17 minutes. The match ended 8-0 in favor of Bayern.

He was an unused substitute in the Bayern Munich UEFA Super Cup match against Sevilla which the German champions won 2-1 on September 24.

Since Michael Cuisance joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from Borussia Monchengladbach for a transfer fee worth €12 million, he has only managed to play 11 matches; he scored just a goal and provided an assist in all competitions.
