    Bayern Munich is in talks to bring back their former defender, Jerome Boateng, as a free agent.

    It was revealed that the player had completed Bayern medical and is moving closer to joining the Bundesliga giant.

    The deal is set to be finalized in the next 24 to 48 hours.

    Jerome Boateng had kept himself fit and injury-free after leaving Olympic Lyon last season. The German footballer spent 10 years at Bayern Munich before moving to another club.

    Bayern Munich had identified Boateng as the best solution to the continued injury problem at the back.

    While Boateng is closing in on Bayern Munich return with a medical done, the duration of the proposed contract is not certain but sources close to the club have revealed it will be on a shorter duration.

    During his period at Bayern Munich, the defender made 363 appearances. He won a lot of trophies, which include two Champions League titles, nine Bundesliga titles, and five DFB-Pokals.
