2020/21 Home Jersey
Barcelona New Jersey is now in stores and it looks good. Barca launched their new home kit for the 2020/21 season on Tuesday, the 14th of July, 2020, and it sees the club return back to their famous striped pattern.
The full uniform will include blue shorts with a vertical maroon stripe on the side and horizontally striped socks similar to the jersey design.
The shirt has a yellow crew-neck collar and two red stripes on the front, back, and sleeves.
In a press statement, the club said: “This season, the jersey is recovering its traditional vertical stripes, but is including gold as a distinctive element,”
“The ‘Blaugrana’ stripes are bordered on each side by gold strips, which evoke the design of the Club crest that the team wore on their shirts throughout the 1920s.”
There are thin gold stripes that appear between the traditional blue and red on the shirt which is inspired from the 1920s when the Spanish giants won their first La Liga title in 1929.
It’s the tenth anniversary of the 2010-11 season, when Barcelona did the double, winning the La Liga and Champions League, and the new kit is similar to the jersey worn that season.
2020/21 Away Jersey
Barcelona revealed their 2020/21 Away Jersey on the 31st of July, 2020. It is the club’s first black away kit since the 2011/12 campaign.
The Nike kit is predominantly black, but paired with gold for numbers, logos and trim.
Messi in Barcelona Jersey
It has a bold look with no graphics or color-blocking as it is plain black with only the club logo, trim on the collar and the cuffs colored gold.

Gerard Piqué revealed that it was nice to return to the black colored jersey. He said: ” Black and gold go well together and the kit looks sharp,”
“It has been a few years since we have had black, so it’s a nice change to have it back.”
Vice President of the Nike Football Apparel, Scott Munson said: “The energy on the ground in Barcelona is hard to match, as is its passion for the football club,”
“I think these colors work well to create a clean look that will have that crossover appeal and make it popular in the streets that inspired it.”
