Barcelona has finally unveiled Bosnian international midfielder Miralem Pjanic on Wednesday, as he was delayed entry into Spain since testing positive for the Coronavirus.
Pjanic was part of the Juventus side that clinched the Serie A title in the 2019/20 season before he was part of a swap deal which involved ex-Barcelona midfielder Arthur joining Juventus.
However, after the 30-year-old tested positive for coronavirus in August, his big move to the Camp Nou was delayed until this morning.
I must say I have quite a lot of good days to remember, but this is going to be one of the best ❤️💙

The midfielder will wear the famous Barcelona no.8 jersey which has also been worn by club legend Andreas Iniesta and new Juventus man Arthur.
Pjanic, in his unveiling, spoke about his pride at signing for Barcelona, calling them the best team in the world, before stressing the importance of club legend Messi remaining at the Nou Camp.

‘It is a great pride for me to be here. I hope to stay here in the years to come and win titles with the club.
‘For me, playing is a dream. Being part of this club is something extraordinary. I am very grateful for everything I have done in my career. Today I am in the best team in the world.
He then revealed it would have been “strange” to see Lionel Messi in another shirt this season as he was keen on playing with the Argentine ace.
‘Leo has his home here and I can only imagine him here,’ said the midfielder.
‘It would have been strange to see him in another shirt. He’s perhaps the best player ever and it’s huge to have him alongside us.’
‘Last season was unfortunate, and the COVID-19. The break was complicated, but there are things that happen in football and we have to look forward. Barca will be great again. Sharing a dressing room with Messi and with everyone is a great opportunity and a dream.’
Pjanic played a key role for Juventus last season, as he made 43 appearances for the Old Lady where he scored three goals and provided six assists for his teammates in all competitions.
