Although the Blaugrana are likely to cash in on players like Philippe Coutinho and raise the required funds to bankroll additions, their financial difficulties may make it tough to acquire a big-name signing.

Meanwhile, the club’s executives are keeping an eye on a few players in order to learn more about their current status and determine whether they will be available in the summer.

That is exactly what transpired in the case of Alvaro Morata, who met with Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin this week to discuss the Spanish striker’s future, among other things.

Below is a breakdown of the many possibilities Barcelona could pursue in order to bolster their front line.

    Robert Lewandowski

After a deal for Erling Haaland was ruled out, Barcelona’s main objective is the Poland international.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will not sell him for less than 40 million euros. However, according to reports in Germany, the Bavarians are considering selling their striker, who has declined to renew his contract, which runs until 2023.

    Antoine Griezmann

The Frenchman has been on loan at Atletico Madrid and is expected to remain with Los Rojiblancos, who will not activate his purchase clause this summer as they will next season.

    Alvaro Morato

Barcelona is interested in the Juventus striker, but he is not their priority offensive target. In January, there was interest in him, but it fell through, and Barcelona signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang instead. This transfer appears to be problematic on both a financial and a sporting level.

    Romelu Lukaku

The Barcelona board of directors admires Lukaku’s abilities, but a move for the Chelsea striker is far from certain. The Catalans do not have the funds to sign him, but they may be able to get him on loan because he is unhappy at Chelsea after joining from Inter last summer.

    Raphinha

In this instance, his signing will be contingent on Ousmane Dembele’s future. Barcelona may not regard Raphinha’s signing as crucial if the Frenchman renews his contract. Meanwhile, Leeds United are in danger of being relegated from the Premier League and could be forced to sell.

    Dembele

Barcelona is in talks with Dembele’s representatives. Bacelona have been unable to sign the Frenchman due to his high salary demands, but they are looking for a way to bind him to a new contract because coach Xavi Hernandez is dependent on him.

    Adama Traore

Barcelona will not exercise their 30 million euro buyout option because Traore hasn’t lived up to expectations despite a strong start. He is not likely to return for the next season.
