Axel Disasi has withdrawn from the France squad for their upcoming UEFA Euros qualifiers against Netherlands and the international friendly against Scotland.
The Chelsea defender suffered a quadriceps injury in Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League.
Disasi’s injury is a blow to France manager Didier Deschamps, who is already without a number of key players for the upcoming matches.
Disasi has made four appearances for France since making his debut in September 2022. He was one of the standout performers at Chelsea this season.
Deschamps has not yet announced a replacement for Disasi in the France squad. William Saliba is another France defender that has withdrawn from the squad.
