Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would be hoping his side can channel the good news of the contract extension of star striker Aubameyang when they host West Ham United at the Emirates.

Arsenal has been boosted by the return of David Luiz to full training and the Brazilian is in contention for his first game of the season as he missed the Red’s victory against Fulham last week due to a neck injury.

Arteta must decide if David Luiz is ready to make his return while also hoping Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka is fit enough to make his first appearance after recovering from his knee injury.

Arteta is also very likely to stick with the defense that kept a clean sheet away to Fulham and in midfield, there could be some changes with Dani Ceballos likely to regain his starting role from Mohamed Elneny.

Ceballos returned Arsenal late during pre-season after his loan from Real Madrid but after a few training sessions, the Spaniard will hope to start in place of Elneny, who seemed to have found new life under Arteta.

In attack, Nicolas Pepe is aiming to make his first start of the season, however, after new signing Willian impressed on his debut, registering all three assist for the Gunners goals, the Ivory Coast international might make his appearance off the bench.
