    An astonishing stat has revealed Arsenal made history staying top of the Premier League table for 93% of the season before losing out on the title race.

    For over 10 months, the Gunners looked set to end their 19 years wait for the Premier League title.

    They clampdown on opponents and were vigorously aiming for the Premier League crown with renewed vigor and seal.

    Arsenal went on five-match winning streak as the Premier League current campaign started before Manchester United ended their indomitable trail.

    They, however, return to winning ways after the defeat to Manchester United and were still top of the table.

    After initial doubts on Arsenal chances of contending for the Premier League title, the Gunners proved critics wrong when they crossed the first half of the season still top of the table.

    After staying at the top of the table for most of the season – 93% of the season – Arsenal failed to fight till the end, leaving Manchester City in absolute control of the title race.

    While the Arsenal machine continue to hunt down Premier League opponents in their title chase, The Sun reports Arsenal final matchday ticket was going as high as £53,000.

    The ticket was already hawked to posh fans hoping to see the Gunners wrestle for the Premier League title till the last day of the season.

    The hike in final match ticket stemmed from the hope the Gunners will not stumble and will drag the Premier League title race to the death having gone this far.

    Now, it has been confirmed the ticket has now gone down 150 times less to £345 after the defeat by Brighton.

    Arsenal will play Wolves on the final day of the Premier League but the match will be of no significance should Manchester City win any of their next matches before the final matchday.
