Arsenal is the winner of the FA Cup 2020 title

Arsenal has emerged the winner of the 2020 FA Cup after beating Chelsea 2-1 at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

This is Mikel Arteta’s first trophy as a coach, which also qualifies the North London club for the Europa League next season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace to cancel out Christian Pulisic’s early strike to secure the 14th FA Cup title for the Gunners.

He scored the winner in the second half through a world-class finishing to make the defining contribution to the first behind-closed-doors FA Cup final.

Chelsea’s problem started when Azpilicueta was seen struggling after sustaining an injury. This was later compounded in the second half when they lost the outstanding Pulisic to a hamstring problem.

While Chelsea was still trying to come to the reality that two of their important players have been out injured. Aubameyang gave Mikel Arteta his silverware in his first season as the Gunners’ manager.

Aubameyang, whose future at Arsenal remains uncertain, turned Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma inside out in the 67th minute before delivering the most audacious finish to chip over keeper Willy Caballero from an angle.

Chelsea was later reduced to ten men when Matteo Kovacic was very harshly sent off for a second yellow card, awarded by referee Anthony Taylor for the most innocuous of challenges on Granit Xhaka.

With the win, Arsenal has now secured a place in the Europa League next season. It was however a bitter disappointment for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard at the conclusion of his first campaign in charge.
