In the end to end first ha;f. Chelsea took the lead inside five minutes through Christian Pulisic. The American gave the Blues the lead via smart finish.

Chelsea then fell victim to the brilliance of Aubameyang, who was also Arsenal’s hero when he scored twice in the semi-final win over Manchester City.

The Gabon forward restored parity from the penalty spot before the break after he was fouled by Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

He scored the winner in the second half through a world-class finishing to make the defining contribution to the first behind-closed-doors FA Cup final.

Chelsea’s problem started when Azpilicueta was seen struggling after sustaining an injury. This was later compounded in the second half when they lost the outstanding Pulisic to a hamstring problem.

While Chelsea was still trying to come to the reality that two of their important players have been out injured. Aubameyang gave Mikel Arteta his silverware in his first season as the Gunners’ manager.

Aubameyang, whose future at Arsenal remains uncertain, turned Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma inside out in the 67th minute before delivering the most audacious finish to chip over keeper Willy Caballero from an angle.

Chelsea was later reduced to ten men when Matteo Kovacic was very harshly sent off for a second yellow card, awarded by referee Anthony Taylor for the most innocuous of challenges on Granit Xhaka.

With the win, Arsenal has now secured a place in the Europa League next season. It was however a bitter disappointment for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard at the conclusion of his first campaign in charge.
