Arsenal ‘s bid to sign Dusan Vlahovic during the winter transfer window has gotten a big boost after the club reached an agreement on terms.
With the striker’s contract set to expire in 18 months, his club is willing to cash in now, according to Corriere Della Sera in Italy.
Arsenal has made a £52.8 million (€70 million) bid plus Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira, who is currently on loan at Fiorentina, in exchange for the Fiorentina talisman’s services.
Fiorentina director Joe Barone told La Nazione .”There will be some escapes,” he continued, “but we will also be very cautious.”
“The market isn’t shut down.” Fiorentina has been approached by a few English clubs, but no deal has been reached. We’re available [for talks] in any circumstance.
In addition, Barone chastised Serbian agent Davide Torchia for his role in the ongoing scandal. When asked if he had had contact from Vlahovic’s agent, he said, “Zero.”
“And, if you recall, I requested clarification. I begged his agent to be more specific, but nothing came of it. There will be no interaction.
The Athletic reports that the north Londoners are pursuing the Fiorentina star this month, adding that they are now the ‘best placed’ of the Serbian’s suitors.
However, as the story states, it is Vlahovic’s agent who is stalling the transfer, and it can proceed once negotiations with Vlahovic’s representative are completed.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Mario, Arsenal would be required to pay an £8.3 million commission charge to the player’s agency, which is a significant sum that Arsenal has not before agreed to.
Arsenal vs. Agents: An Endless Saga
In the past, Arsenal has been hesitant to put money into the pockets of players’ agents.According to rumors, Arsenal missed out on Lyon player Houssem Aouar due to his agent’s demands.
Throughout the transfer window, Mikel Arteta was keeping an eye on the France international. However, no agreement was reached, and the 22-year-old eventually decided to stay put.
Prior to joining Chelsea, Hazard was extensively linked with a move to Arsenal, but the deal fell through after the Gunners refused to accept the player’s agent’s demands.
Dick Law, the former Arsenal transfer chief, told Goal writer Charles Watts:That appears to be the case with the Vlahovic problem, since the biggest stumbling block in obtaining the Serbian striker’s signature is his agent’s requests.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 2:0 defeat to Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup. Arteta was dissatisfied with his guys’ lackluster performance.”We hit the bar in the first half when we had chances, and you have to score, and it’s the same thing in the second half at the start.”
However, there is a distinction when this occurs. They scored a goal with a bit of luck the first time they came forward past our half-way line. This breaks the tie.
“Mikel Arteta remarked last week, when asked about the possibility of bringing in new players:’The team is working incredibly hard to secure the players we desire, and we have no fresh information to share with you.”
Every window, we have a plan to attempt to bring players in and get the players we want with the correct traits and enhance the squad as much as possible.
‘Merson pleaded with Arsenal to have Vlahovic as soon as possible. Following their 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Thursday night, Arsenal legend Paul Merson has encouraged his former club to recruit a centre-forward.
“They need a striker and they’re not creating millions of opportunities, so they need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net,” he stated on Sky Sports.
Until they find a center-forward capable of scoring 20, 25, goals per season, we’ll be talking again.
They’ve had [Thierry] Henrys, Ian Wrights, and other players of that caliber — now they need a top center-forward. Without a center forward, you’re very unlikely to win anything.
“Fiorentina’s Vlahovic Replacement Joe Barone, the director of Fiorentina, told La Nazione.
“I’ve always been more concerned with the group than with the individual. It is the group that will continue to do what we are doing this season and move further. You can check them out for yourself.
“If you do well, you may have half of your squad down to one person.” The protagonist then transforms into a different character. And then there was another.”
This month, Fiorentina signed Jonathan Ikone from Lille for a reported €15 million cost and Krzysztof Pitek on loan from Hertha Berlin with the option to buy at the conclusion of the season.
Piatek, Vlahovic was replaced in the Copa Italia by the former Genoa and Milan midfielder, who promptly got on the scoresheet by putting Fiorentina ahead in extra time against Napoli in a match that concluded in a 5-2 triumph for Fiorentina.
