Arsenal have been handed a major boost as Bayern Munich reel with fresh injury blow ahead of Champions League quarterfinal second leg.

The Gunners could only manage a 2-2 draw with the Bundesliga giants at the Emirates despite playing in a half-filled stadium with no Bayern Munich fans.

They will travel to Munich, Germany for the second leg to seal their 2023/24 Champions League fate.

Ahead of the game, Bayern Munich have been dealt with a double injury blow, involving two of their key players.

Speaking ahead of the crunch Champions League clash, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed Kingsley Coman will miss the match.

Coman, 27, picked up an abductor muscle injury during Bayern Munich’s 2-0 Bundesliga victory over Cologne at the weekend.

While Tuchel admitted the France international will miss the game, football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, reported a grimmer update on Coman’s injury. According to the renowned journalist, Coman is set to be ruled out for the rest of the season as he could miss the remaining five weeks of action for the Bavarians.

Also on Bayern Munich’s injury list ahead of the Arsenal match are Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane as confirmed by Thomas Tuchel in his press conference.

Tuchel confirmed Serge Gnabry is ruled out of the game while Leroy Sane is a doubt.

“The big downside to the whole game is the injury to Kingsley Coman. It makes me very sad because I know how hard he worked and how important he is for us.

“First Serge Gnabry is out, then he [Coman] and Leroy Sane are doubts [for Wednesday],” he told Sky Sports.

Alphonso Davies is also set to miss the Arsenal game after he picked up his second yellow card at the Emirates in the reverse fixture.

With the away-goal rule chalked off the competition, a win for either side will see the winner book a ticket for the next round of the competition.

Arsenal, who generally pose a dismal record against German opponents, will hope to weather the odds and end their Champions League deadlock against the Bavarians.
