Antony, 23, spoke to Fofocalizando, on the Brazilian network SBT, and confidently stated that “the truth will come out”.

Recall we reported that the police opened an investigation after allegations of domestic abuse against his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

We also reported that two more women came out to accuse the Manchester United player of assault, a Law student Rayssa de Freitas, and banker Ingrid Lana.

The report on former Ajax and United winger Antony was released by Brazilian outlets Jornal Extra and Record Report.

Antony is also facing a public report from May 2022 by Rayssa alleging violent behavior by the United star and internet celebrity Mallu Ohana.

Brazilian news outlet UOL recently published the allegations made by the United’s ace former girlfriend, on Monday, 4th September, 2023.

The Greater Manchester Police and Sao Paulo Police are reportedly investigating the said claims which the player has denied.

The United ace in a lengthy interview denied series of allegations that have been leveled against him in recent weeks.

When he was asked about violence towards women, Antony said: “It’s totally wrong, 100% wrong. I have a mother, a sister. I would never want this to happen to them.”

Antony also added that: “It was difficult [being cut from the national team]. It made me really sad, because it’s something that I’m 100% sure is not true. It’s not easy, we work and fight to make our dreams come true, even more so when we wear the Brazilian team shirt.”

The former Ajax man was accused of attacking his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin “with a headbutt” in a hotel in Manchester on January 15th.

The said headbutt as depicted in the image above, allegedly left her with a cut in the head that was treated by a doctor.

Gabriela Cavallin also claimed that he also punched her in the chest causing damage to her breast implant, which required another surgery.

Antony previously denied any of these in a social media post, saying: “I can calmly state that the accusations are false and that the evidence already produced and the other evidence that will be produced demonstrate that I am innocent of the accusations made.”

Manchester United said they were taking the allegations “seriously”, with Antony being dropped from the Brazil squad after the claims are said to be looked into.

The Red Devils have not made any comments on their stance and are yet to give a heads-up if he will be selected for their next match against Brighton on Saturday 16th September.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) also stated last week that they are “aware of the allegations made and inquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report”.

The Brazilian will become the second Manchester United player to be accused of sexual and domestic assault following Mason Greenwood’s case with his partner Harriet Robson.

However, unlike Antony, there was concrete evidence against Greenwood, which saw him suspended from Manchester United and losing his endorsement deals with Nike and EA Sports.

Futballnews stands will never support Violence Against Women and we hope the law takes its full course if the accused is found guilty.
