Conte stated that he will chat with the Tottenham hierarchy to determine if he is the ideal man to lead the club forward.

“I am far too honest to accept this kind of circumstance,” Conte stated, “and we will certainly review the situation with the club.”

“It’s not right, and it’s not good for everyone to keep losing. “I’m sorry, but I can’t accept this.”

On a damp and windy Turf Moor, against a Burnley squad that entered the game in last place, the optimism from Saturday’s dramatic 3-2 win against first-place Manchester City was dashed.

After three and a half months in charge at Tottenham, Conte began to doubt his own managerial abilities.

“It’s the first time in my life that I’ve lost four games in a row. “Perhaps I’m not up to par,” Conte said. “Tottenham has asked me to improve, but I can’t close my eyes because I’m honest.”

Tottenham is currently in ninth place, seven points behind the leaders but with two games in hand on fourth-placed Manchester United.

“We’ve been playing like we’re in relegation peril for the last five games — that’s the reality,” Conte explained.

“Maybe something is wrong, and I’d like to take responsibility for it. If I have that, I am willing to make any decision. From the moment I arrive, I want to assist Tottenham. It is also not proper at this time to collect my income.”

For the third time in his career, Antonio Conte has lost four of his last five Premier League games as a manager, having done it with Atalanta in November and December 2009 and Chelsea in January and March 2018.

He is being honest and like he said he also has to work on himself, the problem in Tottenham is beyond the coach alone, most of their players are below par,but they are of the opinion that they have better players,Levy is also not helping matters with the ways he is handling the team. The players lack motivation to work harder and better and the board are not making a better signing to improve both quality and quantity of the team. They really need to go back to the drawing board and fix what’s wrong,be patient and start a better rebuilding process, it will take lots of time, but starting afresh with better personnels should be their priority.
