Antonio Conte is gradually returning the glory days of Tottenham Hotspur to the club as he has been able to take them from mid-table to the 5th spot in one month.
Conte took Tottenham that far within a short while after recording three wins and a draw in four Premier League games in charge of the north London club.
In the Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City which was played at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday, December 5, Spurs’ fans could not stop singing Conte’s praises.
The club’s supporters are praising the Italian tactician because he has renewed the supporters’ hope of seeing Tottenham play in the Champions League again and become title contenders like their London rivals, Chelsea.
It became obvious that Antonio Conte is on the verge of bringing great things to the club when he inspired Spurs to beat Norwich City 3-0.
Spurs’ Lucas Moura scored the first goal in the 10th minute, Davinson Sanchez scored the second goal in the 67th minute, while Heung-Min Son sealed the victory in the 77th minute.
The 3-0 victory has taken Spurs to the 5th spot in the league table with 25 points in 14 games. They have an outstanding game to play that could help them replace West Ham United on the 4th spot.
West Ham are occupying the spot with 27 points in 15 games, just two points above Spurs that have played a game less.

After the superb victory over Norwich City at home, Antonio Conte thanked the club’s supporters, adding that their praises seemed to be too early.
He said: “I want to say thanks to all the fans that sang my name. On one hand, I’m very happy about this, on the other hand, I feel a lot of responsibility to our fans.
“They trust a lot in my work and to listen to my name was good because I have just arrived, only one month I’ve been here. Maybe it’s too early! But I want to show in the future I deserve this.
“I think the good result helps you but I want to deserve the fans – if they decide to sing my name – for my work, for my total involvement in this club, in this situation.”

Meanwhile, Norwich City coach Dean Smith who watched his team suffer a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Spurs despite enjoying 60 percent of the ball possession stressed that his team deserved to get more from the game.

He insisted that his team’s performance against Tottenham Hotspurs did not deserve a defeat, adding that his team’s performance was a step in the right direction.
“I’m disappointed and frustrated because I thought our performance deserved more,” he said.
“There will be lazy punditry that believes it was expected but we were in the game all the time.
“I’m annoyed at the second goal – we have to defend set-pieces better. They were more clinical than we were. I felt we were the better team in the first half but sometimes you have to nod your head to the quality. We stuck to our game plan and adapted to a different system for us.
“We didn’t want to go gung-ho, but I wanted to play with two up top and create them some problems, which I felt we did as well. Adam will be disappointed with the big chance that came his way, it came at him really quick.
“The performance is a step in the right direction. The scoreline isn’t. We have to learn to defend better because the longer you stay in the game the more chances you get to get something out of it.”
The 3-0 defeat has rooted Norwich City at the bottom of the league table with 10 points in 15 games, three points below safety.
