Arsenal, who were defeated by Liverpool on Wednesday, travel to Aston Villa on Saturday (12:30 GMT), a schedule that Arteta has criticized the Premier League for.

“Arteta should recall the game that was postponed. Arsenal-Tottenham,” Antonio Conte explained.

“This is something I will never forget. It’s also not appropriate to use terms like “fair” or “unfair.”

Despite the fact that there was only one confirmed case of coronavirus in the Arsenal team, Spurs were surprised when their home match was postponed.

The Premier League changed the rules surrounding fixture postponements as a result of this incident.

“In general, I believe my response is adequate,” Conte continued.

“If someone wants to consider if something is fair or unjust. The Tottenham-Arsenal match has been postponed.”

On Sunday, Tottenham will face fellow top-four contenders West Ham in a bid to keep pace with Arteta’s side, who now hold the final Champions League qualification berth.

Spurs are three points behind their opponents and have also played one extra game. Prior to the contest, there are no new injury concerns.

They have announced, however, that Japhet Tanganga would miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

Mikel Arteta slams Premier League fixtures against Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is enraged by Arsenal’s forthcoming schedule, sarcastically complimenting the Premier League for their ‘unfair’ treatment of the Gunners.

Arsenal were defeated 2-0 by Liverpool at the Emirates on Wednesday night, thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino. They now have a tight turnaround to travel to Aston Villa for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday.

They’ll be in the same predicament next month when they face Chelsea on Wednesday, April 20th, in the evening, followed by a Saturday lunchtime match against Manchester United.

Arteta believes it is unjust that his side is forced to do so, and he blames the Premier League for putting them in this position.

‘Thank you so much to the Premier League for doing that, and they’ve done it again when we have to face Chelsea and Manchester United, so if they want to give them any edge, I say thank you very much for doing that today,’ says the player. After Arsenal’s loss against Liverpool, Arteta screamed.

‘Yes, one hundred percent, don’t worry, the players will be there on Saturday with the enthusiasm,’ he stated when asked if his players would be fit for Saturday’s match against Aston Villa.

‘They’ll sleep well and eat well, but thank you so much to the Premier League for arranging these fixtures; it’s quite useful.’

The grievances were not only those of a frustrated manager, but the club had also taken the matter to the Premier League.

‘Absolutely,’ Arteta affirmed, ‘a complaint has been filed.’ ‘Because what they’ve done isn’t right.’

‘It’s always Sky or BT, this or that, but the only one who gets affected is Arsenal, and the only thing that I and we care about is Arsenal, so it’s not fair for Arsenal.’

Arsenal dropped to fourth position in the Premier League after losing to Liverpool. They are one point and one place ahead of Manchester United, but they have two games in hand.
