It appears Ansu Fati has set his mind away from Barcelona and he wants out of the Blaugrana club.

Fati has reportedly chosen to move away from the Catalan giants as he feels he isn’t in the plans of manager Xavi Hernandez.

Ansu Fati also experienced a second fiddle role on Sunday, August 6, 2023, as he came on as a late substitute in Barcelona’s 0-0 draw with Getafe.

The Spain international didn’t feature until the 79th minute of action, replacing Pedri in the opening game of the 2023/24 La Liga season.

The La Masia academy graduate made 51 appearances for Barcelona last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists across all competitions.

However, despite the seeming huge amount of appearances, he featured mainly for Barcelona from the bench throughout the 2022/23 season.

Several clubs have been put on red alert regarding the future of Ansu Fati and they will reportedly swoop in for him if he is available.

Three English teams apparently have him on their radar, namely; Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Fati, 20, is eager to play competitive football as he wants to continue his football career development.

He is a bright prospect, who has got the potential to be a world-beater in the coming years.

The Spaniard’s contract with Barcelona expires in June 2027, with an option for a further two years.

Ansu Fati also has a staggering release clause of about €1 billion, meaning it will be difficult for any club to acquire him unless the Catalan giants are willing to let him go.

When did Ansu Fati make his Barcelona debut?

The forward made his Barcelona debut on August 25, 2019, and he scored in the Blaugrana side’s 5-2 win over Real Betis, becoming the club’s youngest goalscorer.

Fati is also the youngest goalscorer for the Camp Nou club in the UEFA Champions League, having scored against Inter Milan on December 10, 2019.

The 20-year-old was handed the massive No 10 shirt of Barcelona in 2021, which was previously worn by Lionel Messi but he is no longer an active member of Xavi’s set-up.

Ansu Fati has made 110 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 29 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions.

He has won several trophies so far with the Spanish club, namely; 1 La Liga title, 1 Copa Del Rey and 1 Supercopa de España.

Fati has also made 9 appearances for Spain, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist so far.

Injury stunted his rapid development in 2020, when the meniscus present in his left knee tore and he was sidelined for about nine months

Ansu Fati has since returned to action with Barcelona, but he hasn’t looked as sharp and bright like he was prior to the injury.
