Dani Alves got into the clutch of Spanish authorities after an anonymous lady alleged that he assaulted her sexually in a Barcelona nightclub.
More reports of the said incident reveal the alleged assault happened in the rest room of the nightclub with forensic reports identifying human prints appearing to show a struggle.
Alves previously denied ever knowing the woman in question before admitting he had sex with her but on consensual terms.
Since his arrest and prosecution, he has been retained behind bars at Brians 2 prison and has been denied bail. His trial will take place in October 2023.
While Dani Alves awaits his trial and possible sentence, another Barcelona and Brazil football legend, Ronaldinho, 43, has found himself under the probe of Brazil authorities for a Ponzi scheme that has defrauded unsuspecting Brazilians, and others of their livelihoods.
According to Marca, Ronaldinho allegedly ran a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme with a company name, ’18kRonaldinho.’ The company reportedly claim to offer a 2% return on investment for investors, who deposit a minimum of $30 in cryptocurrency with the company.
Further details of the report reveals Ronaldinho has his name as an ambassador of the company and they were previously operating as a jewellery outfit before switching to crypto trading.
Unsuspecting investors have reportedly lost incomes running into millions of dollars before the pyramid scheme was uncovered by Brazilian authorities following a floodgate of reports by the victims.
The victims, who have reportedly lost about $61.2million, launched a civil action against the company leading to the explosive discovery.

Ronaldinho has been reportedly summoned by Brazilian authorities but he has refused to honor the summon.
According to reports, a plan is underway for him to be forcefully brought to answer queries if he doesn’t respond to the summon on or before Thursday, 31 August 2023.
Lawyers representing the football legend has insisted he does not have any association with ’18k Ronaldiho’ and that his name was used by the company in question without his approval.
