Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta is enjoying the twilight of his career alongside his family. He took to his Instagram page to let us into how he had spent the last few days with his household.
Iniesta posted pictures on Instagram showing his kids alongside his partner on Friday, he captioned the post with the words: “Enjoying with the whole family the last days of the Sakura season in Japan”
The Spaniard currently plays for Vissel Kobe in Japan, a team he joined on a free transfer after his contract expired with Barcelona in 2018.
Andres Iniesta is the 5th highest paid player in the World and he is the star man of the J League just like Cristiano Ronaldo is the face of the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
The Spaniard was a gem in midfield
During his time with Barcelona, Iniesta was so sublime in the midfield that he was lauded for his greatness at the middle of the park.
He scored 57 goals in 669 games for the Catalan giants and garnered 141 assists to his name.
The former La Roja midfielder scored 13 goals for the national team of Spain in 131 games. He was amongst the team that won the 2008 and 2012 European Championship alongside the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
In Barcelona, Iniesta won 30 trophies cumulatively including the UEFA Champions League on five different occasions and the Spanish La Liga in 9 different seasons.
Iniesta is a man highly regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in history by many due to how menacing he was in midfield playing an integral role partnering Sergio Busquet and Xavi Hernandez.
With Vessel Kobe in Japan, Andres Iniesta has netted 21 goals in 110 outings for the side, he has also won the Emperor Cup and the Japanese Super Cup with the J League side.
Iniesta married Anna Ortiz when?
Iniesta who graduated through the ranks of the La Masia academy to the first team of Barcelona is married to Anna Ortiz. The couple started dating in 2008 and then tied the knot on the 8th of July in 2012.
The union has been blessed with five children, three daughters and two sons. Their first girl, Valeria Iniesta Ortiz, was born in 2011 and the second was birthed in 2017, her name is Siena Iniesta.
Anna Ortiz birthed their first son, Paolo Andres Iniesta, in 2015 and in 2019 she gave birth to their second son, Romeo Iniesta. The union unfortunately lost an unborn son as a result of miscarriage in March 2014.
In February, 2023 they welcomed to the world their fifth child, a bouncing baby girl .
Anna was born on the 11th in 1986 in Catalunya, Spain and She is 36 years old. Iniesta and his wife, Anna Ortiz met each other at a bar and they instantly fell in love.
They agreed to meet each other at a station close to Anna’s house and for that meeting, Andres had to take a two hour trip.
As the first gift to his future wife, the Spanish footballer gifted his lover a toy plane which was called “Anna” alongside a letter.

In an interview on their love affair, Andres Iniesta said that he was in a bar with his friends where he met his wife. She was working there specifically as a waitress.
Iniesta stated: “As soon as I saw her, I had an intense crush, I fell in love, but she made me suffer and didn’t make it easy.”
Anna Ortiz is currently a fashion designer cum entrepreneur and she has little over 400,000 followers on Instagram.
