Alphonso Davies is set to donate everything he earns in the forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar to a charity organization in Canada. He made this announcement via his social media pages as he prepares to represent Canada in the tournament.

Alphonso Davies was part of the Canadian team that qualified for the World Cup after a smooth run.

He played an important role in his defense and movement on the ball. Davies played 13 out of the 20 matches.

The World Cup event will take place in November, where Canada will be in the same group as Belgium, Croatia, and Morocco.

Because of their strength and ability to play against bigger teams, Canada is one of the favorites to win the group.

The Canadian team is expected to receive at least $10 million in total compensation for their participation in the World Cup, their first since 1986, the Canadian site said.

The defender is a refugee from Liberia who went to Ghana and stayed there for five years before moving to Canada. He signed for the Vancouver Whitecaps as a teenager, before officially joining Bayern in January 2019, aged 18.

Via a social media post, Alphonso Davies expressed his gratitude to his family for bringing him to the current level of his football career. Davies also appreciated Canada for accepting him and his family.

Davies is the first player to become an ambassador for the United Nations on Refugees, and he believes the reason why a lot of them want to come from Africa to Europe for a better life is because of his status. The footballer has taken part in a lot of charities, especially in his ancestral home, Liberia.

The Bayern Munich defender was out for a while but came back looking stronger and is ready to go into the next season. He has stayed out of the majority of the matches because of COVID-19.

He once thought he would never play football again. But with the help of the doctor, he is back on the field and wants to continue winning trophies for the club.

Alphonso Davies has achieved a lot of things as a Canadian. He was the first Canadian to win the Champions League. The defender won the Bundesliga league title four times with Bayern Munich. He was part of the historic team that won the sextuple in 2020.

A lot of people have regarded him as one of the greatest left backs in the world because of his pace and ability to push the ball forward.

Alphonso has made 100 appearances in the Bundesliga and 130 appearances in all competitions. In 2021, he won the Canadian Player of the Year. He has 10 goals in his club career and 13 goals for Canada.
