All work o play they say makes Jack a dull boy. That word seems to be ringing in the head of Bayern Munich left-back, Alphonso Davies as he began his vacation with a teammate, David Alaba.

They have been mainstay in the Bayern’s defense that saw them win a historic treble.

The 19-year-old Canadian who became the first player from his country to win the trophy in his country took to his Twitter page to reveal him and Alaba in a cozy venue. They look dapper in simple outfits as they enjoy the few days holiday they have been given by the club.

Since Bayern has said they will honour the tradition of opening the Bundesliga season as Champions, their holiday will be short. Bayern will return to action at the Allianz Arena to welcome Schalke 04 on September 18.

Being the champions, they won’t be involved in the first round of the German FA Cup which they will also have to defend this season.

This means that they have less than two weeks to return to their duties as the Bavarians might want to be involved in few tune up games before the season’s opener.

Congratulatory messages flood in for Davies

Meanwhile, Davies has been receiving several congratulatory messages for doing Canada proud.

One of such came from the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, who wrote on Twitter: “A historic moment – you made Canadians proud out there. Congratulations on the big win, Alphonso!”
