Real Madrid winger Kylian Mbappe has decided to sue his former employers Paris Saint Germain over the €55 million in unpaid wages.

It was revealed that the amount was a third of the player signing bonuses worth €36 million, which was expected to be paid in February 2024 coupled with his last three months salaries before he left the club.

Kylian Mbappe’s legal team issued a formal notice to the Paris Saint-Germain team in June 2024 to demand those outstanding that were not paid during his playing time at the club.

However, Paris Saint-Germain made a shocking claim, saying the player agreed to forfeit those bonuses before moving to the La Liga giants, Real Madrid.

This was because Paris Saint-Germain failed to get a transfer fee for the player before he decided to join Real Madrid.

In bid for Mbappe to get his unpaid wages, he has reported the case to the Ligue de Football Professional’s legal commission and UEFA.

If Paris Saint-Germain are found guilty of the unpaid Mbappe wages, a transfer ban will be imposed on them.
