It was a weekend that offered many “wow” results and unexpected upsets across the game played in the MLS matchday three.
Some shocking results were seen in Matchday 3 alongside some smash-and-grab victories witnessed across some centers in the past weekend.
23 goals were scored across all centres on Saturday and on Sunday with the biggest result recorded at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, as Atlanta United went away to defeat Charlotte FC by 3-0.
One more action for the weekend in the MLS still to come on Monday as Los Angeles FC would take to the field to battle New England Revolution.
First taste of defeat for the season was served to Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami as they lost away to FC Cincinnati and New York City FC respectively.
In the eastern conference, Atlanta United rose back to first on the table with Nashville SC, FC Cincinnati and New England Revolution placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
St. Louis City are 1st in the Western Conference this season, Seattle Sounders are 2nd while Austin FC are third and San Jose Earthquakes fourth.
Both three in the overall league standings are, Houston Dynamo FC, CF Montreal and Charlotte FC.

DC United 1-1 Orlando City
DC United tutored by Wayne Rooney also dropped points at home to Orlando City. McGuire got the goal for Orlando City while Durkin got the goal for DC United.
FC Cincinnati 1-0 Seattle Sounders
Seattle Sounders were brought down to earth after a great start to the season, FC Cincinnati defeated them by one-goal-to-nothing. Brenner Silva got the goal for the side.
New York City FC 1-0 Inter Miami
New York City FC also brought Inter Miami to reality as Phil Neville’s side lost at the Yankee Stadium in New York City.
Philadelphia Union 1-0 Chicago Fire
Philadelphia Union picked up a slim victory at home against Chicago Fire as a late goal from Torres pierced the hearts of the Chicago Fire fans.
Toronto FC 1-1 Columbus Crew
Toronto FC and Columbus Crew played out a score draw as the game ended 1-1 with no one victorious and no one vanquished.
Minnesota United 1-1 New York Red Bulls
Minnesota United also played out a draw with the New York Red Bulls in another of matchday three action in the MLS.
Nashville Soccer Club 2-0 CF Montreal
Nashville Soccer Club defeated CF Montreal by 2-0 at their home turf via goals from Shaffelburg and Washington.
Sporting Kansas 0-0 LA Galaxy
At the Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas, United States Of America Sporting Kansas and Los Angeles Galaxy couldn’t break the deadlock and the game ended in a draw.
Real Salt Lake 1-2 Austin FC
Real Salt Lake lost at home to Austin FC while St. Louis City continued in their spotless and unbeaten run as they defeated Portland Timbers by 1-2.
